What to expect on Avanti West Coast
Did you know Avanti means 'Forward' in Italian? As well as taking over operation on all trains on the West Coast line, Avanti West Coast are some innovative upgrades and improvements to tickets, trains and stations over the next few years.

Avanti West Coast train classes
As well as Standard and First Class, Avanti are bringing in a new class this year that offers some of the perks of First Class at a cheaper price. You can buy Standard Premium tickets online with Trainline - to find them, click 'Compare all available ticket types' at the bottom of the page when booking a route operated by Avanti.

Avanti West Coast At-Seat Order
Avanti West Coast have recently introduced a new service that allows you to order food and drink during your journey and have it delivered to your seat.
Called 'At-Seat Order', the service is available on all their trains, just log on to Avanti's onboard WiFi and you'll be able to order and pay for your items on a dedicated page. Your food and drink will then be delivered to your seat by staff onboard, sounds good right?
If you fancy stretching your legs, there's also a click and collect option on Pendolino trains. You'll receive a notification when your order is ready, then you can just visit the onboard shop to collect your food and drink.
Taking your bike on Avanti West Coast trains
Planning a day out on your bike? Or cycling as part of your commute to work? You’re in luck. Taking bikes on trains in the UK is completely free.
You’ll need to make a reservation to take your full-sized bike onboard Avanti West Coast trains. If you’re taking a fold-up bike on board there’s no need for a reservation, but you must be able to carry the bike onto the train and fit it in the luggage rack.
