There are three different types of Italo train tickets – Flex, Economy and Low Cost. Ticket prices vary based on the class, travel date and number of seats available. Read on to pick the most suitable ticket type for you.
As the name may suggest, this is the cheapest Italo ticket fare, which gives you fantastic value for money. There’s little flexibility with Low Cost tickets though, so we advise you to be completely sure about the train you want to be on. You can change the date and time of your ticket, but refunds and changes will cost you 50% of your ticket plus the difference of the new ticket.
Still a cheap Italo train ticket, the Economy ticket gives you the opportunity to modify your ticket for a much lower price than you would with the Low Cost ticket. Changes to the time and date can be made at the cost of 20% of the ticket, with cancellation costing 40% of the price of the ticket.
Being the most flexible ticket type, you can change the date, time and name of a Flex ticket as much as you want before your travel date, completely free of charge! You can also cancel the ticket at the cost of 20% of its original price.
