The international carrier Thalys has launched its new "Ruby" trainsets to address environmental matters.
Seen from the outside, the trains don't seem to have changed. Inside, however, the new carriages are more spacious and comfortable thanks to a completely new design.
Thalys trains can now accommodate 28 extra passengers on board. They also come with more space for luggage and a new area that allows you to take up to 2 non-folding bikes with you.

Thalys also innovates with adjustable lighting according to the hours of the day, 22 information screens, USB ports, jacket racks and a completely redesigned bar area, equipped with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The new "Ruby" trainsets are fitted with LED lighting to obtain a more ecological power consumption and toilets with clear water that do not use any chemicals.

Thalys train journeys have three different ticket types: Standard, Comfort and Premium. Each class comes with WiFi as standard, as well as large, comfortable seats, and access to food and drink whilst onboard.
