The busiest route is now the Barcelona-Madrid line, popular among tourists and locals. The recently completed Granada-Antequera line opens the popular Andalusian destination Granada to high-speed services from Madrid and Barcelona.
Work is ongoing on the Madrid-Galicia high-speed rail line, which will connect Madrid and Galicia via Olmedo, Zamora and Santiago de Compostela. The line will facilitate travel at speeds of up to 350km/h.
The map also shows high-speed connections across the French border. Services between Spain and France are run by Renfe-SNCF, a collaboration between the two countries' national train operators.
