✈️ Linate Airport, aka, Milano Linate

✈️ Bergamo Airport, aka, Bergamo Orio al Serio 

  • Airport code:BGY 
  • Milan airport to city center: 28mi (45km) 

Milan also has multiple railway stations, as well as subway stations. Couple that with three international airports and suddenly “Milan airport to city center” isn’t as simple as it sounds. Most travelers will arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) and if you want go directly from MXP to the city center via train, Milano Centrale railway station is your stop.

How do I get from Milan to the airport? 

The Malpensa Express train is a convenient way to get from Milan to the airport. It departs roughly every half-hour from both Milano Centrale (between 00:25 a.m. and 11:25 p.m.) and Milano Nord Cadorna (between 04:27 a.m. and 11:27 p.m.) to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP). 

How to catch a train from Milan airport? 

No matter if you arrive at Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)’s Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, follow the signs for the train platform, which is located on the basement level. You can purchase tickets from the service desk or book in advance through Trainline and catch the first train you see to Milano Centrale. 

How much is a train from Milan's airport to the city center? 

Trains from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Milan city center (Milano Central Station) start as low as $9.49 per ticket. The earlier you book your ticket, the cheaper the price, though you can always purchase day-of tickets whenever available. 

Keep in mind that Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) doesn’t offer train services; you need to take a bus to Bergamo train station then purchase a ticket to Milano Centrale for $6 or lower. Milan Linate Airport (LIN) also doesn’t have a train; you can purchase a bus ticket through Trainline to Milano Centrale for about $6.
