You can easily get to Lyon Airport with a TGV high-speed train operated by SNCF from Lyon Part-Dieu train station. As there’s no direct train to the airport, you’ll need to change at either Valence Ville, Avignon TGV or Grenoble. The journey lasts about 3 hours. Lyon Airport has one train station – Lyon St-Exupéry TGV – which can be found between Terminals 1 and 2. There are five platforms served by 20 daily TGV trains that connect Lyon to Paris (journey time is 2h) and many towns of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence regions.
