To get to the Isle of Wight by the world’s only commercial hovercraft service, choose 'via Southsea Hoverport' in our Journey Planner at the top of the page.
If you're travelling by train to reach the coast first, leave your train at Portsmouth & Southsea station, then hop on the regular shuttle bus to the Hoverport. Once checked in you’ll fly across the Solent on a cushion of air - just ten minutes to Ryde Esplanade. There you can pick up an Island Line train or buses for onward travel across the island.
Please note that when booking Hovertravel tickets with us, at the moment you won't be allocated a seat on a specific hovercraft.
Please arrive at the terminal 10-15 mins before your preferred flight time and you'll be boarded as soon as possible.
Below you’ll find the summer timetable, from 16th July to 16th September 2022.
Departures are every 30 minutes until 18:15, then once an hour until the last flight.
