The Leonardo Express is a non-stop train service from Roma Termini to Fiumicino Airport operated by Trenitalia. The train leaves from platforms 23 and 24 of Roma Termini train station and takes just 32 minutes to reach the airport.
The first train departs from Roma Termini at 05:35 daily – running every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes at all other times – with the last train departing at 22:35. Heading back from the airport, the first train departs from Fiumicino at 06:23, with the last service departing at 22:23.
If you want to travel from Roma Tiburtina instead, you can take one of the FL1 commuter trains which reach the airport in just 48 minutes – these trains run every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes during the weekend.
Fiumicino Aeroporto train station is located near to the exit of Terminal 3 at the departures level. From here you can easily travel to several of the main stations in Rome, as well as major cities in North-Eastern and Central Italy via four direct Frecciargento high-speed services including Firenze Santa Maria Novella (2h 14m), Bologna Centrale (2h 59m), Padua (3h 57m) and Venezia Mestre (4h 12m) train stations.

126 Leonardo Express trains connect the airport to Roma Termini train station every day. They depart from Terminal 3 at every 35 and 50 minutes past the hour during peak times and at every 35 and 5 minutes past the hour at all other times.
The FL1 commuter trains also depart from Terminal 3 and stop at Roma Tiburtina, Roma Trastevere (27m), Roma Ostiense (31m) and Roma Tuscolana (41m) train stations.
You can also get to Fiumicino Airport by bus and you’ll find there are many options to choose from.
If you’re travelling from Rome, hop on a Terravision bus. Buses depart from Roma Termini and stop at Terminal 3. The journey lasts about 55 minutes. For more information, visit our Terravision page.

If you’re leaving from Naples or Caserta, hop on the Fiumicino Express, which will get you to the airport in 2h 50m. Buses depart from Naples’ Metropark bus station and Caserta’s bus stop on via Nazionale Appia 272 Casagiove (Caserta Nord).
