What do you get on the Caledonian Sleeper in First Class?

As the name suggests, the Caledonian Sleeper is an overnight train, so already offers something slightly different from daytime services. There are four main types of overnight accommodation you can travel on, Comfort Seats and Classic Rooms, then Club Rooms and the Caledonian Double which is the equivalent of First Class.

Caledonian Sleeper First Class Cabin layout

There's a mix of seated and Cabin (First Class) coaches on board the Caledonian Sleeper, and you'll be directed to your Cabin when you board the train. As we've mentioned, all Caledonian Sleeper trains also have a Club Car onboard, where you can relax and enjoy a late-night drink or meal.

Inside your Cabin, you'll find a twin bunk or single or double bed, a washbasin, and an ensuite with a toilet and shower.

Travel during quieter times

Tickets for travel outside of the busiest times (Friday and Sunday evenings) are normally cheaper, plus the trains are usually quieter too.
