Elise joined Trainline in August 2021. After years split between Paris and the States, she's been living in London for the past 5 years and prefers taking the train to visit her friends and family in France. When missing real baguettes and French cheese, she won't think twice about hopping the Channel on the Eurostar. Her ideal destination for a long weekend? Trouville in Normandy, for its huge sandy beach.
When she's not hard at work, you can find Elise at a concert or a festival - far away from the mosh pit, but close to the bar. Last summer, she even took the train to Glastonbury, tent and sleeping bag in tow.
Without a shadow of a doubt, it has to be traveling from Paris to Milan on a Frecciarossa train! In May 2022, I took the train all the way from London to Italy. From Paris, I tried out the direct train to Milan, operated by famous Italian train company Trenitalia. Breathtaking views down through the Alps, free Italian coffee (I had at least three during the journey), and not forgetting the mini Spritz before dinner - the 6 hour journey flew by!
