About Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus operates a fleet of over 950 buses around the Greater Dublin area, as well as parts of southern Scotland and northern England. They carry over 100 million passengers each year on their routes.
They run regular double-decker bus services from Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre. Read on to learn more about these buses, their routes, ticket prices, and what services they offer on board.
Dublin Bus airport transfer routes
Dublin Bus operates two Dublin Airport bus routes. Both of these run from Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre and vice versa, via the Dublin Tunnel and the Convention Centre Dublin.
Airlink 747 bus: Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre
(Talbot Street Station, O’Connel St. and Heuston Station route)
The Airlink 747 is a convenient and inexpensive way to get from Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre (O’Connell St.) in around 40 minutes. For passengers who need to travel further afield, the bus also stops at Busáras Central Bus Station, Connolly Rail Station and Heuston Rail Station.
Luas tram connections are available at the following bus stops: Point Village & 3 Arena, Talbot St. & Connolly Rail Station, Cathal Brugha St., O’Connel St., College Green & Temple Bar and Heuston Rail Station. This provides easy access to other locations in Greater Dublin.
Airlink 747 buses run Monday to Saturday from 04:45 to 23:30 every 10 to 15 minutes. On Sunday, they run at slightly reduced intervals, from 06:30 to 23:30 every 15 to 20 minutes.
Airlink 757 bus: Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre
(Pearse Railway Station and Camden Street route)
The Airlink 757 airport transfer bus route runs from Dublin Airport to Camden Street (near Iveagh Gardens. En route, the bus passes by Trinity College, Merrion Square and St. Stephen’s Green. It also stops nearby Pearse Railway Station for passengers who wish to travel further afield. The Airlink 757 journey takes only 40 minutes between Merrion Square and Dublin Airport.
The bus also alights next to Luas tram stations at the following bus stops: Convention Centre, Eden Quay and O’Connell Bridge, Hawkins St. & Temple Bar, St. Stephen’s Green and Camden Charlotte Way. This provides easy access to other locations in Greater Dublin.
Buses run every 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday from 04:55 to 23:25 and every 20 to 30 minutes on Sunday from 06:40 to 23:25.

Luggage
Airlink 747 and 757 routes use double-decker buses with extra luggage racks installed on the ground the floor. The racks are monitored by CCTV cameras and you can watch over your luggage from the screens upstairs.
WiFi
Every single bus in Dublin Bus’ fleet, including buses on the Airlink Dublin Airport bus routes, have Wi-Fi on board. Passengers will need to fill out a short survey before they can access this free public Wi-Fi service.
Travelling with children
Children under 5 years of age can travel on Dublin Bus Airlink services for free, so long as they are with an adult who has purchased a ticket. Children between 5 and 15 years of age get 50% off single and return tickets. Railcards for children of this age also cost only €16 (a reduction of €18 off the adult price of €33).
Accessibility
All Dublin Bus Dublin Airport transfer buses are wheelchair accessible with low-floors, extendable ramps and priority space for one wheelchair. Any assistance dogs on board must be wearing their harness or jacket, so the driver recognises it as an assistance dog.
Ticket types
Dublin Bus offers single and return tickets at an affordable price. You can also combine Airlink singles and returns with DoDublin’s sightseeing “Hop on and Hop off” deals. Additionally, DoDublin’s 72-hour travel card is valid on all Dublin Bus Airlink services.
Note: Dublin Leap Cards and many government issued travel passes are not valid on the Dublin Bus Airlink airport transfer services.
Airlink Single
An Airlink Single ticket takes you from Dublin Airport to Dublin or vice-versa. This costs €6 when you book online.
Airlink Single/Return + 48-hour Hop on Hop off Combo
You can combine your Airlink Single or Airline Return ticket with a DoDublin Hop on Hop off ticket. This allows you to jump on any of DoDublin’s “Hop on Hop off” Dublin sightseeing buses within a 48-hour period. An Airlink Combo Single costs €23 and an Airlink Combo Return, €27.
Airlink Return
An Airlink Return covers a return journey between Dublin Airport and Dublin. Returns are open and valid 3 months from the date of purchase. An Airlink Return ticket costs €11 when you book online.
DoDublin Travel Card
The DoDublin travel card allows free access to the Dublin Bus Airlink airport transfer buses, all city buses and DoDublin’s Hop on Hop off sightseeing services within a 72-hour period. The travel card costs only €33.
Buy Dublin Bus Airlink tickets
You can buy Dublin Bus Airlink 747 and Airlink 757 tickets through various distribution channels. However, the fastest way to purchase tickets is via the Trainline website or app. In just a few clicks, you can get tickets for your flight dates, meaning one less thing to worry about.
You can also buy tickets at Dublin Airport or at a ticket office. Note, if you buy online, you’ll receive a coupon which you’ll need to exchange for a ticket on the bus or at a ticket office. You’ll need a printed version of the coupon if you wish to exchange it on the bus.
